Sandara Park, (Korean: 박산다라, Hanja, Tagalog: 朴-, born November 12, 1984 in Busan, South Korea) is a television personality who is also called "Dara" as one of the vocal members of Korean Girl Group 2NE1. She is a former Korean expatriate who once starred in movies and television shows in the Philippines.
In 2008 Dara was home in Korea from the Philippines and has been a trainee for
YG Entertainment. She came out on an MV with Bigbang member rapper
T.O.P. for Gummy's "Im Sorry".
Bigbang and Gummy is also under YG
Entertainment. Sandara has a kissing scene on the MV with T.O.P.
In May 2009, she was launched along with 3 talented girls as a girl band member known as 2NE1. Other female members is CL,Minzy and Bom. A couple of hits came out but the first was their collaboration with Bigbang for LG CYON CF "Lollipop". Then followed by their first single "FIRE". Stayed for weeks on several popular countdown and their song "I dont care" was a hit
for weeks too to different music channel in KOREA. Making them bringing home several awards for being #1.
And now after the last on screen kiss with T.O.P. , Dara was chosen to promote Cass Beer with another popular actor Lee Min Ho,whose stardom also started this year January with his role
Gu Jun Pyo in KBS's Boys Over Flowers. And again Dara has yet another kissing scene with a good
looking guy. What can Hero Angeles (first on screen kiss partner) and
Joseph Bitangcol (pinoy ex-bf) say?
The CF is yet to be released, photos and articles about it came out just a week ago. Also after this CF, news says that Dara will be releasing a solo digital single titled "KISS" (coincidence?). And the group 2NE1 will be busy on their solo projects too.
I like Sandara Park even before when she was still in the Philippines and before I laugh to myself when I caught myself watching her movies with Hero and Joseph. The fact that I dont watch Filipino movies esp. Romance Tagalog movies. So I laugh and ask whatever happen to Sandara? It was a year ago... not knowing she is happy and under a good hands of YG Entertainment. Now I adore her more and maybe envy her. For being able to do what she really wanted to do, sing. And be an actress. I may share the same dreams with her but she has made it come true.
I only wish her continued success and continued support from us PINOYS and from all of her fans.
